Richmond Christian School is hiring for an Inclusion Teacher to join us at our Secondary Campus!

 

About You

 
The ideal candidate is a BC certified educator who demonstrates a strong commitment towards Christian Education and a strong understanding of the BC Curriculum. You have a strong background in supporting students with diverse learning needs and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Most importantly, you are enthusiastic about deepening students understanding of a Biblical worldview and their relationship with God.
 

About the Position

 
The RCS Inclusion Teacher supports students with diverse learning needs, both those who qualify for government funding as well as non-funded, by providing academic, social-emotional, and behavioural support within an inclusive educational environment. The role of the Inclusion Teacher is a co-teaching model of support; though it also includes administrative duties that are more frequent at certain times of the school year, such as (but not limited to) school year start-up and IEP meetings. 
 
Start Date: August 1, 2026
FTE: 0.5
 
 Compensation range
$CAD 59,657.06 - $109,421.93
Please note that the salary range listed above reflects the 2025–2026 salary grid and will be updated for the 2026–2027 school year. Compensation for this position will be prorated based on the 0.5 FTE. 
 
Educational Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers and staff with strategies for universal design for learning, differentiation, and best practices of inclusion
  • Support academic achievement and social-emotional growth of students with identified learning needs and at-risk students.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure adaptations are documented on progress reports.
 
Administrative Responsibilities
 

  • Support all students through an inclusive education perspective, which may include: IEP meetings; writing IEPs and Learning Plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, students, and community agencies (e.g. psychologists, counsellors)
  • Build class profiles in collaboration with teachers based on individual learner profiles.


Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor of Education degree with training in Inclusive Education
  • Previous experience in learning support/inclusive education
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of the Universal Design of Learning
  • Legal authorization to work and teach in BC
